José Maurice a été réélu président de la Chambre d’Agriculture de la Martinique ce lundi 10 mars 2025. À la tête de la liste « FDSEA-JA Ensemble pour l’agriculture », il a remporté 48,69 % des voix lors des élections de janvier. Il poursuit son mandat pour six ans, avec pour priorités la pérennité des exploitations, la transmission des fermes, et l’adaptation face au changement climatique. Le préfet de Martinique, Etienne Desplanques, a assisté à l’élection, qui a recueilli 22 voix pour José Maurice, sur 26 suffrages exprimés. José Maurice devrait mettre en œuvre des actions visant à soutenir les exploitants agricoles, améliorer les conditions de travail des salariés de la filière et dynamiser les initiatives locales pour le développement agricole de l’île.
